Keynote User Experience Evaluation in Games - Dr. Regina Bernhaupt

The keynote on user experience evaluation in games will give an overview on the current state of the art in this emerging field.

The keynote will provide insights into key factors contributing to user experience in games, the various difficulties on integrating UX evaluation in the development process and how evaluation methods can (and should) be adopted to fit the needs of researchers and industry alike.

With a set of best practices and lessons learned from a variety of projects world wide this keynote spans the bridge between research and industry.

Bio Regina Bernhaupt

Regina Bernhaupt studied computer science and psychology at the university of Salzburg, where she received her PhD in 2002. Working on usability and usability evaluation methods for non-traditional environments for some years she recently defended her so called habilitation in September 2009 at the University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, France.

Her latest work is focusing on connecting TV and entertainment in the living room, by using new forms of interaction technologies and in more general understanding and evaluating associated user experience.
Based on a series of workshops on UX Evaluation in games she also edited a book on the same topic (Springer Verlag, 2010). For more information on Regina simply visit: http://ihcs.irit.fr/bernhaupt/index.html →
